here i'd like to share my experience on different layouts, hoping it can help you on thinking out of box while facing a difficult one.
case study 02
this floor plan put a big smile on my face. it's hilarious, isn't it?
i love the craziness of the irregular walls and set up of all.
what was in the mind of the architect and engineer when they were building it?
net area: 700 square feet (~65 square meter)
occupants: a couple
requirements:
1) storages
2) living room
3) visually large-spanned
4) occasional visitors to stay over night
what i did:
1) make the space partitions as regular as possible because one can only feel lost in an irregular-shaped space.
2) separate the storage completely with other space
3) connect the space with a meandering pathway thus connect the entrance, living room, dining room and kitchen. it's a half-loop solution to transfer a bizarre layout into a visiting route.
